Schlüter-DITRA serves in combination with tile coverings as a sealing layer, as a vapor pressure equalization layer in case of moisture from the substrate and as a decoupling layer in case of problem substrates. The Schlüter-DITRA decoupling mat can be used both on the floor and against the wall.

Product specification

Product description

The substrate must be even and load-bearing. For bonding DITRA, a thin-bed mortar suitable for the substrate is applied with an adhesive spreader (recommendation 3 x 3 mm or 4 x 4 mm). In this, DITRA is fully bonded with the nonwoven fabric, with the fabric mechanically anchoring itself in the adhesive. Observe the open time of the adhesive.

The tile covering is professionally placed directly on DITRA in accordance with
the valid processing instructions using the thin-bed process, whereby the thin-bed mortar anchors itself in the quadratically recessed surfaces of the DITRA mat.
